Terms and Conditions

  1.  Participant Eligibility:
    The competition is open only to participants in the Republic of Ireland that are of Primary School age and excludes employees of Pink Lady Europe (the ‘Promoter’) or any of its subsidiaries, and also excludes anyone who is connected with the administration of this promotion. Guardians must enter on behalf of the child.

  2. Sponsorship:

    Sponsorship of FIBKA is open to all entrants, however, only participants who attend primary schools are eligible to receive the class visit from FIBKA. Sponsorship will receive 2x newsletters from a hive and its keeper.

  3. Rules:
    Competition entry is through visiting the BeePink website https://pinklady-beepink.ie/ . This website can be reached by searching online or scanning the QR code present on Pink Lady Apples packaging. Participants are asked to fill in the relevant contact details on the website. Participants can opt to play the Bee Pink game before entering to win.

  4. Period:
    The competition will be open from Monday the 8th Of April  2024 and close on Sunday the 12th of May 2024 at 6pm.

  5. Selection:
    Winning classes will be selected after the 12th of May  from entries received and receive a visit from FIBKA on a date to be determined by Pink Lady Europe who will give a beekeeping demonstration using an enclosed observation hive, along with Pink Lady gifts.

  6. Prizes:
    20 competition entrants will win a class visit from a FIBKA beekeeper who will give a beekeeping demonstration using an enclosed observation hive along with a Bee Pink prize pack. There is no cash alternative, and the prize is non-transferable. Multiple entries are not allowed. Schools must respond within 72 hours of initial contact to redeem prize.

     

  7. Notification:
    The winners will be notified via email through the school email ID they provided on the application page. The Promoter will not be liable for any failure or delay of message delivery by your email platform. If winners provide invalid email addresses or do not provide their email addresses, they will automatically be deemed ineligible to receive the FIBKA visit. 

  8. Collection:
    Winning classes will be notified via email of how to redeem their visit from FIBKA.

  9. Redemption:
    The visit from FIBKA to the winning classes must be redeemed before the end of 2024. After winning classes have received their visit from FIBKA, the promoter holds no liability as to the usage, issues or damage of said gifts.

  10. Verification:
    The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any Participant and may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of a Participant. Prizes may be withheld until the Promoter is reasonably satisfied with the eligibility verification.

  11. Substitution:
    The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control.

  12. Disqualification:
    The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify from the event any entrant suspected of fraud or cheating including, without limitation, through the manipulation of codes, multiple generated entries, or otherwise fraudulently falsifying data or acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter.

  13. System Failure:
    The Promoter will not be liable for system failures, network errors, hacks on the system or personal phone or application issues.

  14. Disputes:
    If there is any dispute about an entry or any other aspect of the prize, this will be decided by the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision is final in every situation (including any not covered by these terms and conditions) and no correspondence will be entered into.

  15. Privacy:
    The Promoter may collect personal information from Entrants which will only be used for the administration of the promotion and the verification of eligibility of participants where necessary.   16. By entering this competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, photo and any  testimonial you have provided to the Promoter, for promotional purposes, including, without limitation,  on its websites, social media, within its magazines or within promotional emails.

  17. Cancellation:
    The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to cancel the school visit without prior notice in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control that make it necessary to do so.

  18. Terms and Conditions Acceptance:
    Confirmation of FIBKA visit shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them. If these terms and conditions are not accepted in full, then you should not proceed to receive a FIBKA visit. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

  19. Terms and Conditions Enforcement:
    The competition and the terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland and enforced by Pink Lady Europe.
